This tour suits travelers who like architecture and want to see several Seljuk and Ilkhanid monuments in one day without planning the route themselves. The carved portals, the tile work and the courtyard layouts of the madrasas make more sense with a guide beside you. Winter visitors who ski can use the Palandöken stop as a viewpoint, and summer visitors can ask the guide about walking routes that the resort also serves. Anyone who wants a short visit with few stops should tell the team before booking, so the day can be trimmed.
Palandöken runs a five-month ski season, and the city's monuments can be visited in any season. Erzurum Airport serves the city, but flights are not included in the tour price, so book your own flight and arrive before the morning pick-up. Erzurum winters are cold and snowy, so pack warm layers if you travel in winter. In spring and autumn the walk around the castle hill is easier, and the outdoor stops need less preparation. If the weather turns, the guide can change the order of the stops, so the schedule stays flexible.
It is a one-day private tour that starts and ends at your hotel in Erzurum. The route covers the Yakutiye Madrasa, the Double Minareted Madrasa, the Three Tombs, Erzurum Castle and the Palandöken slopes, with lunch in between. The pace and the stops can be adjusted with your guide.
No. Tortum Waterfall is about 100 kilometers north of Erzurum, so it is outside this one-day route. It drops 48 meters, and May and June are the best months to see it at full strength. Ask the team before booking if you want a separate day for it.
Lunch with a soft drink, a licensed guide, a minivan and driver, entrance fees to the sites and museum, and local taxes, parking and fuel. Tips, optional tours and flights to the city are not part of the price.
Send your preferred date, the number of travelers and your hotel name on WhatsApp to +90 544 674 42 28, and we reply with a quote.
Erzurum Castle sits on a hill, so the last part of that visit involves a climb. Wear comfortable shoes, and tell the team before booking if someone in the group needs a slower pace on the steps.
