In short, tubostravelturkey.com uses cookies to keep your cart and checkout working, to count visits, to remember your language, and to load videos, reviews, and our WhatsApp button. Some cookies come from us and some come from other companies, mainly Google. You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time.
1. Who we are
This website is run by Tubos Travel, the trade name of [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], a TÜRSAB member travel agency (license no. [TÜRSAB LICENCE NO]) at [FULL STREET ADDRESS], Ürgüp, Nevşehir, Türkiye. This policy covers https://tubostravelturkey.com.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. They let the site remember things, such as what is in your cart, between pages and visits. Similar tools, such as local storage, work the same way, and this policy covers them too. “First-party” cookies are set by our site. “Third-party” cookies are set by other companies whose services run on our pages.
3. Cookies we use
Strictly necessary
These cookies keep the site and bookings working. You cannot switch them off on our site.
- woocommerce_cart_hash: helps WooCommerce notice when your cart changes. Set by us. Lasts for your session.
- woocommerce_items_in_cart: records whether your cart has items. Set by us. Lasts for your session.
- wp_woocommerce_session_*: links your cart and checkout to your visit. Set by us. Lasts up to 2 days.
- wordpress_test_cookie, wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_sec_*: WordPress core cookies that check your browser accepts cookies and keep logged-in users signed in. Set by us. Last for your session, or up to [14 days] if you choose “Remember me”.
- [COOKIE NAME]: remembers that you closed the cookie notice. Set by us. Lasts about [12 months].
Analytics
Analytics are on by default. They help us see how people use the site so we can improve it.
- _ga: tells visitors apart so Google Analytics 4 can count visits. Set by Google through Google Site Kit and Google Tag Manager. Lasts up to 2 years.
- _ga_*: keeps track of your visit and the pages and tours you view. Set by Google through Google Site Kit and Google Tag Manager. Lasts up to 2 years.
This data goes to Google. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We see reports, not your name.
Functionality
- googtrans: remembers the language you picked. Set by the GTranslate widget on our site. Lasts for [your session] or until you change the language.
The translation widget loads Google Translate, a Google service, which may set its own cookies. Machine translation can be inaccurate. If a translated page differs from the English text, the English text prevails.
Third-party embeds and services
- YouTube videos: shows tour videos on our pages. Google/YouTube may set cookies when a video loads or plays, for periods Google decides.
- TripAdvisor review widget: loads our reviews from third-party servers, which may set cookies for periods they decide.
- WhatsApp chat button (JoinChat): shows the chat button and may store a small value on your device. Set by the JoinChat plugin on our site. Lasts for [your session]. If you click it, you go to WhatsApp, run by Meta, which has its own privacy policy.
4. How we show cookie information
When you first visit, the site shows a short cookie notice. The notice only informs you. It is not a consent wall and does not block the site. You can close it with “Got it”. Closing it only hides the notice; it is not a consent form.
5. How to control cookies
You decide what your browser stores. In Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, open the browser settings and find the privacy or cookies section. There you can:
- see and delete cookies already saved;
- block third-party cookies;
- block all cookies, or only cookies from certain sites.
To stop Google Analytics on all sites, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
If you block strictly necessary cookies, your cart and checkout may stop working and you may not be able to book. Blocking third-party cookies may stop videos, reviews, or translation from loading.
6. Changes
We may update this policy when we add or remove tools or when the rules change. We will post the new version here with a new date.
7. More information
To learn how we handle personal data, read our Privacy Policy. You can also see our Terms of Use.
