What does a Cappadocia balloon flight cost in 2026?

A shared hot air balloon flight over Cappadocia costs about 70 to 230 EUR per person in 2026, and deluxe seats run up to 300 EUR. The price moves with the season, with recent weather cancellations, and with the seat type you choose. Tubos Travel sells balloon flights too, so its own starting prices appear in the table below.

Published prices for shared flights

Most figures below come from operators who sell the flights, so read them as asking prices. All amounts are per person in EUR.

Source What it lists

Una Capadocia From 70. Its calendar shows 70 to 80 on 5 to 10 November, 120 from 11 November to 20 December, and 150 from 21 to 31 December.
Cappadocia Now Shared flights from about 180, in an editorial list of operators (Turkish page, 28 Oct 2026).
Tubos Travel Projected starting prices: 280 in April, May, September and October 2026, 220 from June to August, and 180 in November and December.

Skyway also quotes a private balloon at 4,500 to 8,000 EUR per basket, in the article linked above.

What moves the price

  • Season. Skyway and Hot Air Balloon Göreme both put April, May, September and October at the top. Hot Air Balloon Göreme puts November to February lowest.
  • Weather backlog. Hot Air Balloon Göreme says prices rise after several cancelled mornings in a row, and it names weather as the biggest factor.
  • Demand. Weekends, public holidays and last-minute bookings push prices up, according to Hot Air Balloon Göreme.
  • Launch valley. Skyway lists the take-off valley (Göreme, Çat or Soğanlı) as a factor as well.

Seat type also changes the flight itself. Hot Air Balloon Göreme gives Standard as about 60 minutes with up to 28 passengers, Comfort about 60 minutes with up to 20, and Deluxe about 90 minutes with up to 20. Flight times differ by source. Skyway says 40 to 65 minutes, and Tubos lists 50 to 70 minutes of flight time.

Weather cancellations and refunds

Wind decides most cancelled mornings. LocalisTR, a secondary source, summarises the civil aviation rules for balloons (SHT-BALON). It says a passenger flight does not take off when ground wind is above 10 knots, or when the forecast landing wind is above that, and never flies in thermals or cumulonimbus clouds. A red or yellow flag from the Cappadocia Slot Hizmet Merkezi (SHM) means no take-off clearance. The regulator’s PDF itself was not checked for this page.

Refund rules belong to each operator. Skyway refunds in full up to 24 hours before the start. Inside 24 hours, a weather cancellation by the operator means a rebooking or a full refund. Una Capadocia offers free cancellation up to 24 hours before. Skyway also sells a “reschedule guaranteed” option priced at 129 to 299 EUR. LocalisTR and Cappadocia Now both advise getting the policy in writing before you pay.

How to protect your flight

  • Keep at least one spare morning in your stay. A single cancelled morning then does not end the plan.
  • Ask for the written cancellation policy before paying, from any seller, Tubos Travel included.
  • Compare seat types by length as well as price. Deluxe costs more and flies for about 90 minutes, against about 60 for Standard, according to Hot Air Balloon Göreme.
  • If you want a balloon ride with the transfers included, the Tubos listing includes hotel transfers in luxury minivans, a flight certificate, a champagne toast on landing and insurance. See the Tubos balloon ride.
