This Göbeklitepe private tour runs for two days, with hotel pick-up in Şanlıurfa and one night in a hotel with breakfast. Day two goes to Göbeklitepe in the morning and the beehive houses of Harran in the afternoon.

Readers of Neolithic archaeology will value the two days, since the Şanlıurfa Museum and the Göbeklitepe walkway explain the same period from two angles. The overnight stay means the city sites are not rushed between Göbeklitepe and Harran. Those who want one guide for the city and the sites, with a night's rest between them, will find the pace comfortable. The Halfeti boat trips in the west of the province are not on this route.
Spring and autumn are the best seasons. Summers are very hot, so Göbeklitepe and Harran are planned for the morning hours where possible. Harran's Grand Mosque reopened in July 2024, and the castle's interior is expected to reopen in late 2027. Flights to Şanlıurfa are not part of the price. Şanlıurfa GAP Airport serves the city, so send your arrival time and we plan the first pick-up around it. Halfeti needs a separate booking, since it lies well away from the Göbeklitepe and Harran route.

An on-site shuttle takes visitors from the multimedia visitor center up to an elevated walkway. Your guide explains the Pre-Pottery Neolithic sanctuary, which is roughly 12,000 years old, and points out the animal-carved pillars from the walkway.
Göbeklitepe is outdoors, so bring a hat, water and comfortable shoes. Dress modestly for the mosques in the city and in Harran. A light layer helps during the drive between the sites.
